They are both fans of an ancient mind body practice known as Qi Gong (pronounced as ‘chee-gong’)
The term Qi Gong is a combination of Qi which means subtle breath or vital energy and Gong which translates to skill cultivated through steady practice. Together the words describe an ancient practice that harnesses the power of breath, movement, and intentions to create health and balance with the body.
Most forms of Qi Gong originate from Taoist practices focused on cultivating and maintaining personal health. Taoism is a religious and philosophical tradition that has been part of Chinese culture for more than 2000 years..
Qi Gong is easy to learn. This makes Qi Gong an ideal physical exercise for Seniors. It is gentle on the joints keeping them healthy and mobile.
Randomised controlled studies show the Qi Gong exercise routines benefit the entire body and mind.
